This Week's Tips

Scheduling tasks.  Schedule your most challenging tasks for the time of day when your energy is highest.  You will accomplish the task easier and save time, too.

Switching gears.  Minimize the number of times a day you switch between types of tasks.  For example, don’t stop what you are working on to read emails as soon as they come in.  Read, and respond to them in blocks of time only once or twice a day.

Frugal Organizing for Drawers

Getting organized does not have to bust your budget.   Look around the house for common items that can be used to organize on a shoestring.

Here are a few objects that can function as free or nearly free drawer organizers:

          Shoe boxes

Use as is or cover with contact paper and use for drawer dividers for deep drawers

          Bank check boxes

                   Use for dividing shallow drawers

          Wet Wipe containers

                   Jewelry storage

                   Drawer dividers

                   Store pantyhose

          Baby Food containers

Storage for earrings, tie clips & cufflinks

          Ice cube trays

                   Store earrings and rings

Using dividers in the drawer helps you keep like things together and have a home for the items stored in the drawers.

If you have some money to spend, consider a sock drawer divider that can be custom-fit to your dresser or chest drawer.  Average cost is $9 - $20.   Click here to see the sock drawer divider and some other terrific drawer dividers:  http://www.nomorechaos.biz/resources_links.htm.  Then, click on the Stacks and Stacks icon and then type in “drawer dividers” in the search box.
