I met Beryl through work and I was always impressed about how put together she was. One day a conversation led to clothes and closets. I complained about how I didn’t have anything to wear and I couldn’t find what I did have in my closet. Beryl offered to help me clean out my closet and I took her up on the offer! By helping me realize that I didn’t wear some of my clothes because they were not a good color for me or didn’t fit me properly, I was able to let go and give six bags to charity! She also helped me see that a few things just needed to be altered to be good choices for me. After two hours and lot of trying on clothes, she grouped like clothes together in my closet, for example, all skirts together and made me a chart of how to mix and match some items that I never would have thought to put together. She gave me lots of good tips on maintaining my closet and wardrobe that I still use.

Beryl and I worked in the same law firm. We had the same workload, but I noticed that she was able to find files and put her hands on information quickly and easily. I was adamant that I knew where everything was on my messy desk, but truthfully, I spent more time looking for what I needed than it took to actually do the task. Beryl set up a system to help me deal with files and information. It has been over 10 years since we worked together, but I still use that same system in my new profession.
