Organizing Clothes Closets

Organizing clothes closets can be a challenge.  Most of us don’t have an 8x10 walk-in closet that can easily house all our clothes, shoes and accessories.  Even if you do have great clothes closet storage, consider some of the following tips when organizing your clothes closet.

1.  Consider stacking sweaters on the shelf or in a hanging organizer with “shelves” for good visibility and storage.  Sweaters can be folded and placed in drawers, but visibility will be limited.  Don’t hang sweaters as they are heavy and will stretch out.

2.  Purchase multiples hangers (one hanger with several arms to make use of vertical space) for pants and skirts.

3.  A shoe rack on the closet floor works well for shoe storage.  The rack will utilize the space from the floor up to where your clothes hang.

4.  Jewelry – Look for a hanging organizer with up to 80 clear compartments to keep your jewelry in one spot and visible.

5.  Purses – Baskets or clear containers can keep purses contained and together.

Having a well organized clothes closet saves you time and lessens morning stress.  I don’t know about you, but I am all for more time and less stress!
